Perishables Group founder Bruce Axtman and Executive Vice President Steve Lutz have more than 25 years of experience each in the fresh food industry. Before creating the Perishables Group, Bruce and Steve built the foundation for the company through extensive industry research, data sourcing, tool development and initial retail networking.
Bruce founded the Perishables Group in 2000 by spinning off the perishables consulting practice he created while he was a partner at Willard Bishop Consulting, Ltd. The company has since expanded its offerings to include the full breadth of capabilities specific to every step of the fresh supply chain, including consumer and trade research, syndicated data, category development software and programs as well as marketing communications services.
In 2012, PG was acquired by Nielsen, enabling the first total-store view of grocery channel sales and performance.
